Frequently
asked
questions

What is a capsule pod?

A capsule pod is your own private sleeping space within the hostel. At Vialia I, each pod has noise-reducing walls, an individual digital lock, air conditioning, a personal desk, power socket and free WiFi. You get the privacy of a room at a fraction of the price.

Are the pods soundproof?

The pods are built with noise-reducing materials that block out most ambient noise from neighbouring pods and common areas. Quiet hours run from 23:00 to 08:00, so you can count on a good night’s sleep.

Do the pods have air conditioning?

Yes. Each pod has its own individual climate control. You set your temperature without depending on what other guests prefer. Common areas are also heated and air-conditioned centrally.

Is it suitable for couples?

Yes. The Private Capsule with Large Bed is designed for two people. Check availability when booking.

What time is check-in?

Check-in opens at 14:00. Before your arrival you will receive all access instructions by email so you can get in without needing anyone to receive you.

What time is check-out?

Check-out is before 11:00. Please vacate your pod and return any keys by that time. If you need a late check-out, contact us in advance and we will do our best.

What do I need to bring at check-in?

A valid photo ID is required (passport or national ID card). Your booking confirmation on your phone is enough, no need to print anything.

How does Superlativo Hostels Málaga promote sustainability?

We are at C. Eslava, 15, Málaga Centro, 29002. The hostel is steps away from Vialia María Zambrano, which is Málaga’s main train station, metro stop and intercity bus hub. It is one of the best-connected spots in the city.

How do I get here from the airport?

Take the Cercanías train (line C-1) from Málaga Airport directly to María Zambrano station. The journey takes around 12 minutes and from the station it is a 2-minute walk to the hostel. It is the easiest and cheapest way to arrive.

Is the city centre walkable from Vialia I?

Yes. The historic centre, Málaga Cathedral, Picasso Museum and Calle Larios are all within a 15 to 20 minute walk. The beach at La Malagueta is reachable by metro or a 20-minute walk along the waterfront.

Do you host events or activities?

Absolutely! As a hostel with a strong community vibe in Málaga, we host weekly events like networking nights, cultural meetups, and guided tours of the city. These activities are designed to help guests connect with fellow travelers, explore Málaga together, and experience the spirit of coliving in Málaga. Whether you’re a solo adventurer or a digital nomad, Superlativo is the perfect place to meet people while traveling and feel at home.

Is the Wi-Fi fast?

Yes! We provide high-speed Wi-Fi with guaranteed service quality throughout the property. Whether you’re streaming, video calling, or working remotely, our connection is ideal. It’s perfect for digital nomads in Málaga who need reliable internet in a coworking hostel environment.

Is there a common area?

Yes. There is a shared lounge and TV area where you can relax, meet other guests or just take a break between plans. It is part of what makes staying at Vialia I feel less like a hostel and more like actually being in the city.

How do you ensure security?

Security is a priority at Superlativo. Our hostel features a surveillance system in common areas. Access to rooms and pods is restricted using advanced electronic locks. Whether you’re staying in a capsule-style hostel or using our shared spaces, you can feel safe and secure at all times.

Is the reception open 24/7?

Yes, our reception is open 24/7. Friendly staff are always available to assist you. Whether you’re checking in late, need local tips, or have a question, we’re here to help—day or night.

Are the bathrooms private or shared?

Bathrooms are shared and cleaned daily. The exception is the 6 Individual Capsules room, which has its own private bathroom for guests staying in that unit.

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast is not included as standard, but you can add it when booking your stay. Occasionally, we run special offers that include it, so it’s worth checking our availability at Vialia I before you decide.

Is there a kitchen I can use?

Yes. There is a shared kitchen available for all guests, so you can cook your own meals if you prefer. It is a good way to save money and a natural place to meet other travelers.

Can I bring food into the hostel?

Absolutely. To make your stay more comfortable, we provide common areas where guests can enjoy their meals and connect with others. However, for hygiene and comfort, eating inside the capsule pods is not allowed. This helps maintain a clean and pleasant environment for everyone in our community-focused hostel in Málaga.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 72 hours before check-in are fully refundable. Late cancellations may be charged the full reservation amount. Special periods like Semana Santa, Christmas or major events in Málaga may have specific non-refundable conditions. Always check the details at the time of booking.

Is it cheaper to book on your website?

Yes. Booking through our official website guarantees the best available price. We also run exclusive offers that are only available when booking direct.

Can I book for a group

Yes. Vialia I can accommodate groups comfortably. For bookings of more than 4-6 rooms, contact us directly so we can arrange everything properly, as different policies apply for large groups.

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not permitted at the property.

Are parties or events allowed?

No. Vialia I does not accommodate bachelor or bachelorette parties or similar events.
